Karthik, Rajesh Lakhoni has become the Chief Electoral Officer in Tamil
Nadu. His action after 2005 flash flood attracted many. The plan to expand the city to cover 426sq
km from the earlier 174sq km took place in his tenure. When he was in charge of
Municipal Corporation the beautification of Marina beach and construction of
nine flyovers happened. He
has been serving as energy secretary for 2 years. In his tenure as Agriculture,
he has started a system for the farmers to avail funds for fertilizers or fertilizers
of their own from the government.
