Clarion Call to the
Voters by Mamata Banerjee:-
"I am your candidate, I am
the candidate in all 294 seats, cast vote for me,". This was the clarion
call to the voters to cast vote for her. Her image helped her win a landslide
victory. People of Bengal saw the allegations and objections and complaints like Narada, Saradha, Over-bridge collapse, syndicate.
But the purity in Mamata Banerjee assisted Mamata Banerjee to achieve the
tremendous success of 2016 assembly election. Her own image weighted heavier
than the complaints against some party worker. Her own image became the clue to
her huge victory.
Welfare Schemes:-
Mamata
launched several welfare schemes like Kanyashree, Yuvashree, Sikkhashree,
Sabujsathi, Khadyasathi and has increased the credibility of her image.
Bicycles are distributed among the students, 750 rupees per needy girl student
is distributed, 1500 rupees per month is given to one lakh unemployed youth.
Mamata Government distribute rice and wheat among 7 crore people.
The Alliance:-
The Alliance between
CPIM and Congress:- The Alliance between
Left Front and Congress proves to be suicidal for left front especially CPIM
because of its quick formation just before the poll without making any
credibility before the people of West Bengal. It was too late to form such
rivals friends. The vote transfer from Congress to left did happen.
Appearance of BJP:-
BJP has bagged
over 10 percent of votes that was supposed to have goes with the Alliance. But
BJP played an important role to make Mamata win a landslide victory. BJP tried
to be the main opposition of the ruling Trinamool in the state. Many people
took the battle was between BJP and Trinamool. Thus many voters thought the
battle was between the central ruling party and the state ruling party.
Besides, Mamata accused BJP of creating an emergency like circumstances. A
percentage of voters thought the prepoll situation as an attack against Mamata
Banerjee.
