The
Oath of Jayalalithaa and 28 Ministers:-
Puratchi Thalaivi J Jayalalitha.(Long Live J
Jayalalithaa) was the cry from the crowd. Jayalalithaa swore for the second
consecutive term in Tamil Nadu’s Madras
University Auditorium before the Governor K Rosaiah with 28 other Cabinet colleagues.
Jayaram Jayalalithaa started her journey from her residence Poes Garden to Madras University Auditorium at about 11.20 a.m. on
23rd May. She prayed for the Ganesha for a while.The iconic M
G Ramachandran started "Naan aanai ittal, adhu nadandhu vittal, Andha ezhaigal
vedhanai padamaataara" from the famous MGR movie, 'enga Veetu pillai'. It
means: " If I order and it happens, then the poor will not suffer!"
The enthusiastic supporters were making a loud chant for the ‘Amma’, they were
throwing roses, they were dancing and waving green flags.

She has announced to shut down 500
Tasmac or Government run liquor shop out of 6800, she has decided to give 8 gram
gold ‘mangalsutras’ or sacred threads for married woman to the would be brides,
she has sanctioned 100 units of power free of cost in all homes and 750 units
of power free of cost for handloom weaver, she has sanctioned breakfast to the
students of government schools, she has sanctioned loan-waivers to farmers.
