Reason to Make it a Common Entrance Nationally
1.      Syllabus:- States have their own syllabus, while CBSE has their own.
2.      Date Clash:- The scheduled dates seem to clash. Same date is why some students cannot give all exams.
3.      Different Examination Pattern:- Examination patterns are sometime from another state’s pattern. Thus a student of Kerala has no idea of the pattern of Himachal Pradesh. It makes him/her hard to fight in HP.
4.       Remote Centres:- Remote centres make student difficult to reach the remote examination centre.
5.      Expenditure:- The cost of conducting separate examination is so high.
6.      A large number of complaints of malpractices in the admission process came.
Disadvantages for a Student
1.      State syllabus of class XI and XII is not aligned with the CBSE. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Gujarat etc conduct common entrance examinations as per their own higher secondary syllabus.
2.      Question types will be different. The students in Tamil Nadu are not familiar with multiple choice questions.
3.      Time will be not similar to what a state has allotted to its students for the examination.
4.      Language can be a barrier for many students who have been giving examination in regional language since her/his opening exam.
Disadvantages for States
A State will be denied right to conduct separate entrance examination.
Order to Private College
Private college cannot organize examination for admission to MBBS or BDS studies.
The Opinion of the Centre
The Centre has opined that it has no objection to relieve the states to conduct common entrance examination of their own. The solicitor general Ranjit Kumar has submitted the opinion of the Centre.
MCI
The Medical Council of India has also softened down its hard tone befor the court and it has also remarked that the states should be allowed to conduct medical entrance regionally for this session.
AIPMT
CBSE’s All India Pre-Medical Test(AIPMT) on 1st May  is to be considered as NEET I.
Who and Who Not
1.      The students who appeared on AIPMT or NEET I can sit for NEET II.
2.      Earlier the court said the NEET II on 24 July will only be attended by them who have not appeared in the NEET I of 1st May .

Hope of Students and States and Private Colleges about the The Verdict of Supreme Court
The students were expecting that the court would pass its order allowing the states to conduct their own admission tests for the current academic year.
The Supreme Court Verdict
The Supreme Court rejected the appeal submitted by state governments and private medical colleges to modify its earlier verdict banning states and private colleges to conduct separate entrance examinations for admission to medical under graduate courses. The SC said on 10th May that admissions to medical courses can only be done through the NEET.
SC says no state can conduct separate entrance examinations.
