Gujarat Government Announces 10% Reservation for Economical Backward Classes

Anandiben Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat has announced today that those in the unreserved economical backward categories who earn less than 6 lacs Indian rupees per annum will get 10% quota under new provision from 1st May. The benefitted group is economically backward community. This decision was taken at a BJP core committee meeting in the presence of BJP president, Amit Shah. This ten percent adds to 49.5% reservation quota for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe. Thus it exceeds the limit of 50% reservation quota prescribed by Supreme Court. BJP has declared the rule as it has been under pressure for the agitation of Patidar community which was initiated BY 22 Years-old Hardik Patel who has been locked up since October, 2015. The notification will be issued on 1st May.
The Gujarat Government will continue Mukhyamantari Yuva Swalamban Yojna (MYSY) for the youth to give subsidy in higher education fees. This will be given to them who will get the EBC benefit.Till opposition leader Sankar Singh Baghela is not showing his satisfaction with only 10% reservation. He demands 20%.

Heavyweights:-

Mamata Bnerjee vs Deepa Dasmunshi vs Chandra Bose

Agnikanya( Girl of Fire) of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has been challenged by two strict opponents; one from Congress and another from BJP. ‘Aguner Pakhi’(Bird of Fire) Deepa Dasmunshi is the wife of former telecommunication minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi who has been suffering from comma. Deepa served India as a central minister. Besides, Chandra Bose is also a good name in the fray. He is the grand-nephew of great patriot Subhas Chandra Bose, popularly known as ‘Netaji’. Bharatiya Janata Party has declared him as theirs Chief Ministerial candidate of West Bengal.
Thus Mamata Banerjee who uprooted 34 years deep left front from West Bengal is going to have a tough fight against two big names. Mamata Banerjee’s Bhabanipur has given her full support in 2011 election. Her work is praiseworthy in transport.

All heavyweights have been highlighted in the boxes.
