2011 Result in Coochbehar and Purba Medinipur:-

In Coochbehar, the Alliance of TMC-Congress-SUCI got 5 seats in 2011 assembly election. Left was able to retain 4 seats.
All India Trinamool Congress washed away Left Front from Purba Medinipur. It was the place where from TMC saw its shining from Nandigram, Khejuri etc. Subhendu Adhikary, a stout leader from TMC lead the party heroically from the front. All 16 seats went to TMC.

Force Personnel by ECI for the 5th Phase:-

361 companies of central forces will be active in this phase. 123 companies out of 680 will control the situation in Coochbehar district.238 companies will be available in East Midnapore. Besides, 12thousand state police will work together to run the election fair. 4500 will work in Coochbehar. 7,500 will be in Purba Medinipur.

Events Flow:-

Purba Medinipur :-
Allegedly, TMC supporters vandalized houses of CPIM polling agents in Moyna . Outsiders allegedly entered into Ramnagar to influence voters for TMC.The police detained 5 TMC workers who were allegedly trying to intimidate voters, in the Moyna assembly.
Coochbehar:-
One was beaten up by TMC cadres at Tufanganj in Coochbehar. ECI directed to file FIR against Rabindranath Ghosh, the TMC candidate from Natabari in Coochbehar, for an allegation of threatening the sector officer. The Commission has also instructed to lodge an FIR against Udayan  Guha, TMC candidate from Dinhata for an allegation of assistance in rigging .
Other:-
Subir Sarkar, the District Secretary of TMC from Murshidabad, was shot closely on his chest and hand. CPIM state secretary Surya Kanta Mishra has been served a legal notice  for allegedly making “false allegations and sullying” the reputation of Suvendu Adhikary, the TMC candidate in Nandigram in Purba Medinipur.

ECI Report:- 85 %  people of Chhitmhala have cast their votes.ECI have received 1526 complaints .1486 disposals have been made.ECI removed Umesh Roy, the presiding officer from Dinhata assembly. 252 ofThe Commission changed Laxmikant Burman from booth no 252 in Natabari constituency due to illness.
