He said that India applauds the great sacrifice of the free and brave Americans who have been fighting for the mankind. It is known to India because of the struggle of the Indian soldiers for the same reason. All men are created equal. Abraham Lincoln says this. It is the spirit of America.  He said, 'Our founders created a modern nation with freedom, democracy, and equality as the essence of its soul. Modi said that Today, India lives as one; India grows as one; India celebrates as one. He remembered the historic speech of Swami Vivekananda.  Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi at mMassachusetts Avenue are within 3 miles.  Modi said how B.R. Comfort, candor, and convergence define our conversations.” He thanked the U.S. for showing a solidarity against the Mumbai attack in 2008 and giving full support. The U.S. Congress is harmonious and the Speaker is known for bipartisanship. Norman Borlaugh brought the Green Revolution and food security to India.    Science and technology help to remove problems in in public health, education and agriculture in India. Modi said, “We trade more with the US than any other nation.”  In Defence , India has a trade more than $10 billion in a decade. There are 30 million practitioners of Yoga in the US. The best CEOs; academics; scientists; economists; doctors; even spelling bee champions are from Indian-American. Modi thought the real strength of the nation lies in the dreams of people in the US. He wants to empower economically to the politically empowered Indians by 2022. He wants to reduce carbon use and increase renewable energy. Stronger India is the US’ strategic interest. He said that Afghans naturally recognize that the sacrifice of America has helped in getting a better life while he was talking about India’s assistance to Afghanistan. He said that terrorism is "nurtured by the neighbor". To Modi terrorism means common philosophy of hate, murder and violence. Senators sent a clear message to those who preach and practice terrorism for political gains. Modi praised for such action. Indian soldiers play their role in natural disasters and peacekeeping successfully. Modi said, “For us in India, to live in harmony with mother earth is a part of our ancient belief.” He added, “Our relationship is prime for a momentous future.
